Days: 06:00 – 18:00
Nights: 18:00 – 06:00

The Opportunity

The Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing business in Leicester for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader.

We're looking for an experienced warehouse professional who can lead by example, motivate a team and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of warehouse operations while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity.

Essential Skills & Experience

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Team Leader, Supervisor or Senior Warehouse Operative.

• Experience working within a fast-paced warehouse, distribution or manufacturing environment.

• Experience leading, motivating and developing warehouse teams.

• A good understanding of warehouse processes, including goods in, goods out, stock control and order picking.

• Experience allocating workloads and monitoring team performance.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• The confidence to make decisions and resolve operational issues.

• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures within a warehouse environment.

• Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) is desirable.

• Forklift Truck experience or licences would be advantageous.

• Good literacy and numeracy skills.

• A positive, reliable and hands-on approach.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the warehouse team to achieve daily operational targets.

• Allocate workloads and monitor productivity throughout the shift.

• Ensure goods are received, stored and dispatched accurately and efficiently.

• Support stock accuracy through regular checks and inventory control.

• Coach, motivate and develop team members.

• Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.

• Investigate and resolve any operational issues quickly and effectively.

• Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth operational flow.

• Complete shift reports and maintain accurate warehouse records.

• Promote high housekeeping standards across the warehouse.

• Drive continuous improvement and encourage best working practices.
