Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour 25% Shift Premium
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (2 Days, 2 Nights)

• Days: 06:00 – 18:00

• Nights: 18:00 – 06:00

The Opportunity

The Recruitment Group is recruiting for an experienced Packaging Operator on behalf of a leading manufacturing business based in Leicester.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the continuous running of packaging machinery

• Carry out product changeovers, including loading polyethylene reels

• Operate log saw equipment when required

• Identify and resolve minor machine faults and stoppages

• Complete quality checks and report any defects or issues

• Carry out basic machine adjustments and maintenance tasks

• Support colleagues and assist with end-of-line production processes

• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards throughout the shift

• Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies

• Complete production records and documentation accurately

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience operating packaging or production machinery

• Experience carrying out machine set-ups and product changeovers

• Basic fault-finding and troubleshooting skills

• Understanding of quality standards within a manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Good literacy and numeracy skills

• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• A reliable, flexible and team-focused attitude
