Warehouse Operative – Kitting & OBC

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives – Kitting & OBC to join their warehouse team.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are organised, have a good eye for detail and can work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The successful candidates will play an important role in ensuring customer orders are picked accurately, packed securely and prepared for dispatch on time, while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of warehouse operations.

Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided to the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick products in line with OBC and kitting orders and picking lists.
• Assemble and pack kitting orders in accordance with the required specifications.
• Pack products securely to prevent damage during transportation.
• Check product barcodes, quantities and order details to maintain high levels of accuracy.
• Follow instructions provided by the TOB administration team.
• Label parcels and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Prepare pallets and parcels for next-day collections.
• Assist with loading, unloading and moving stock when required.
• Maintain organised OBC storage locations and ensure stock is stored correctly.
• Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods and picking errors to the administration team.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment, following all health and safety procedures.
• Work towards required productivity and accuracy targets.
• Support other departments and carry out general warehouse duties as required.

Skills and Requirements

• Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Strong numerical skills, with the ability to count and check stock accurately.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Ability to lift and handle products weighing up to 25 kg.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to stand, walk and handle stock throughout the shift.
• Flexible and available to work rotating shifts, including Monday to Sunday, in line with the shift rota.
• Reliable, punctual and willing to learn new processes.
• Previous experience in warehouse picking, packing or kitting is advantageous but not essential.
