Production Operatives – 4 On 4 Off Shift Pattern

Location: Loughborough

The Recruitment Group is looking for Production Operatives to join our well-established client based in Loughborough.

As a Production Operative, you will assist in the production, assembly and packing of various goods. You will form part of a team and have specific duties within an assigned section. Duties may vary from material handling and feeding materials onto a production line to removing, packing and inspecting finished products.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a consistent shift pattern with four days off between working blocks.

Pay for a Production Operative:

• £14.69 per hour.
• Weekly pay.

Hours for a Production Operative:

• 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
• 2 x 7am – 7pm day shifts.
• 2 x 7pm – 7am night shifts.
• Followed by 4 consecutive days off.

Responsibilities of a Production Operative:

• Ensure production is in accordance with specification sheets.
• Operate equipment safely and in accordance with all instructions and guidelines, including Health & Safety and PPE requirements.
• Follow shop orders as per the production plan.
• Monitor goods during production, ensuring specifications are met.
• Fix minor issues that may arise with the production line and troubleshoot when production issues occur.
• Participate in the set-up of future production lines and procedures.
• Input data into the computer system to record production and finished goods.
• Ensure correct labelling of finished goods.
• Ensure high levels of housekeeping are maintained.
• Undertake equipment inspections, maintenance and cleaning in accordance with instructions.
• Maintain accurate process data, records and documentation associated with your work.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, policies and procedures, codes and legislation, including Health & Safety.
• Immediately report any problems or failures that may impact the organisation and/or its clients or customers to the Line Manager.
• Contribute towards the smooth running of the team.
• Ensure all consumables and by-products are placed into the correct waste streams.
• Adhere to all organisational policies and procedures.
• Ensure a smooth handover at the end of each shift.

Required Skills:

• Great organisational and time-management skills.
• Hardworking and reliable.
• Impeccable attention to detail.
• Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
• Previous Production Operative experience is desirable.
• Intermediate computer literacy, maths and English skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and develop good working relationships with colleagues.
• Flexibility to work both day and night shifts as part of the rotating shift pattern.
