Last week was a celebration of apprentices and organisations shining a light on the positive impact of apprenticeships on organisations and the community. Many events and talks were held during the week of celebration from 5th February to 11th February, including open days, career/jobs fairs, and guidance sessions. Gaining hands-on experience is key for development which is exactly how Ismah from Leicester College made her dream come true. Her main focus was to start her own business and opted to enroll on a Level 3 Business Admin Apprenticeship at the college. Gaining confidence, learning about project management, and working as an Exam Officer in Leicester’s college exam team all provided Isha with an understanding and awareness of employability with skills to develop.
