23 years
What excites you the most about your role at The Recruitment Group in todays recruitment landscape?
That we are agile and can adapt to any market changes quickly, we are not bogged down in hierarchy and politics, we move fast and make decisions quickly when needed.
Which of our core values do you feel like you resonate with the most & why?
Driven – Sometimes my drive is too much, over the years I have learnt to taper it down a little but overall I am very competitive, I am a bad loser and I have lots of drive within to help my teams and family be the best they can be, which I love to see!
How do you inspire & motivate your team to produce the best results?
In my role I would like to think all the time, but you`d have to ask them for the real answer on this one!
How do you ensure TRG continues to exceed client expectations in such a competitive industry?
Be being genuine, open and transparent, but above all working with a partnership mentality. We are not here for a quick buck, we want to grow long lasting candidate and client partnerships to help everyone grow within their own world.
Is there an initiative or project you've completed whilst you've been at the company that you're particularly proud of?
Many projects over the years as you would expect but overall the biggest thing I am proud of is to lead this organisation, It gives me immense pleasure to get out of bed everyday to try and help people with their careers and really understand the staff on a personal level. We have some truly amazing people that work here and I am incredibly lucky they choose to do so.
What advice would you give to someone aspiring to a leadership role?
Go for it! Take your moment, make your mistakes, take some risks and reach for the stars. If its wanting to lead a branch, a region, a small group of people or a whole company I would just say be authentic, do things your way and try to do it with a smile on your face. Oh and don’t let the doubts that creep into your head (There will be plenty) put you off, You can do it !
What do you like doing in your spare time?
Following my beloved Birmingham City and spending time with my 3 children.
