Company Background
Our client is one of the UK’s largest recycling and waste operative companies and has successful partnerships with several local authorities across the country.
Established in the 1970s, the company has grown from a paper and cardboard recycling specialist into one of the UK’s most dynamic recycling companies, collecting, sorting and trading a wide range of recovered materials from commercial, industrial and household collections.
Role Overview
The role will require the successful candidate to organise the workflow around the company’s weigh bridge operation.
The company utilises large vehicle-weighing machinery in order to successfully anticipate and log waste intake into the plant.
The candidate’s role would focus on scheduling times for vehicles to be weighed, correctly logging measurements, communicating with various parties, submitting information in a timely fashion, and ensuring that any technical issues with the weigh bridge are dealt with swiftly by informing the relevant maintenance personnel.
Other tasks will include general admin, liaising with other members of the plant to ensure that operations run smoothly, and assisting vehicle drivers with any queries they may have.
Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this application, the candidate will need to have the following experience:
- Experience as a transport planner is essential
- Experience working in other aspects of organisational admin preferable
- Experience working with weigh bridges and other large scale vehicular machinery desirable
