Location: Birmingham City Centre (B2)
Salary: £23,000pa - £28,000pa (D.O.E)
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 6.00pm
Duties:
- Pre-planning the days of full-time contracted drivers
- Re-planning and updating plans of contracted drivers
- Allocating high-profile work for key customers to an existing transporter agent network, and ensuring that agents perform the work as planned
- Grouping jobs together and identifying opportunities for transporter agents to move multiple vehicles in one job lot where possible
- Using this experience to feed back into the Operations Director, identifying and mapping out opportunities to improve internal software system, and maximise backload opportunities
Candidate:
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential
- Experience of planning jobs for drivers and/or transport agents and maximising their productivity
- Route planning experience
- Highly computer literate and comfortable learning new IT systems
- Desire to embrace change in the logistics industry
- Proven attention-to-detail. It is a fast-moving environment, and you'll need to be able to juggle multiple priorities successfully
- Any relevant further qualifications (e.g. CPC)
