A Trainee Analyst is required for our client in Henley-on-Thames.

About the role:

As a Trainee Analyst you will:

  • Provide analyst support in the Investment Team

  • Maintain and update key Investment Team

  • Complete analysis of company financials, reports and prospects

  • Ongoing analysis and monitoring of the range of collective assets (to include VCTs, ETFs, structured products, open-ended funds, closed-ended funds and pension funds) with due regard to taxation, liquidity, risk and return objectives and other client-related considerations

  • Analysis of investment opportunities in collectives

  • Analysis of client assets prior to transfer

  • Pension fund analysis and monitoring and data reporting

  • Manage and update existing quantitative models and databases including stock selection models, risk management models and fund position databases

  • Internal and external fund reporting across a range of investment team responsibilities including risk management, price checking, stress testing

  • Assist with updating of Procedures Manual and ensure that it remains up to date

About you:

  • Have an interest in investment and company research

  • Willingness to undertake study

  • Ability to manage own workload and work within a small team

  • Knowledge of business processes, standards, policies and procedures

  • Experience within the Financial Services Industry

  • Exceptional communication & organisational skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (excellent knowledge of Excel) and ideally Adviser Office, Volume and Pulse dealing system

  • Be a graduate or equivalent - studied a finance-related subject such as economics, statistics, maths, finance, business or accountancy

  • Investment Management Certificate (IMC) or willingness to undertake IMC or other investment-related qualifications. Progression will require further study

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Training will be provided where required. Support will be given for further study
