The Role:
The technician will be responsible for the testing and measurement of samples generated in metal packaging development projects, submitted from plants, or provided by customers. They will also be involved in hands-on manufacture of development samples, and in the mature state, Laboratory Warden and equipment user training responsibilities may also be part of the role.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Checking of equipment before use and reporting any faults
- Measurement and testing of metal packaging samples using defined protocols, and recording of test data
- Communication of test data, and any conclusions against defined criteria
- Manufacturing under guidance, metal packaging samples on CT development equipment
- Maintaining 5S & safety standards in the work area, and re-ordering of consumables
- Equipment user training
- Laboratory Warden
- Numerical confidence and accuracy
- Computer literate
- Ability to consistently follow defined procedures
- Capable of independent working once briefed on tasks
