Location: Bradford, BD4
Hours: Full Time on a rotating shift pattern
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 generous shift premium
Contract Type: Permanent
About the Role:
A well-established manufacturing organisation is seeking a Skilled Machinist to join their production team. This hands-on role involves setting and operating production equipment in a controlled factory environment, with a strong emphasis on quality, efficiency, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and operate machine tools accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
- Report tooling issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the work area in line with 5S and TPM standards.
- Support quality and manufacturing teams in reducing scrap and improving performance.
- Mentor apprentices and contribute to their development.
- Uphold health & safety standards and respond to issues proactively.
- Compliance with internal risk management and equality policies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Engineering apprenticeship trained to national standard (or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years’ machining experience (CNC preferred).
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to train and support others.
- Positive attitude and professional work ethic.
