About Our Client:
Our Client is a market leader in providing high-quality facilities services nationwide, they work prodominantly in production, warehouse distribution, transport & public sectors.
About The Role:
Provide robust training for all staff members
Create and lead an environment of engagement, empowerment and encouragement for all
Ensure, encourage and enforce the use of PPE and Safe Systems of Work at all times
Manage the administration of employee timesheets and annual leave calendar
Provide detailed weekly reports to the senior operations team
Manage and carry out (when required) daily and weekly waste removal and recycling tasks, this includes recycling and disposal of all waste packaging, baling operations and loading and unloading of cages and pallets to and from double-decker trailers
Ensure a clean and safe working environment within the yard area at all times
Lead by example when it comes to all requirements.
Ensure an efficient workflow process is maintained and where required and necessary demonstrate flexibility and initiative to react to changing environments whilst ensuring output targets and quality standards are met
Competent knowledge of environmental responsibilities and procedures and the ability to articulate and demonstrate this to your team
Ability to escalate any issues to the senior operations team and communicate these effectively, professionally and promptly
Maintain excellent relations with your team, client staff, contractors and visitors to the site through excellent and continuous quality communication
Responsible for completing a variety of documentation including: Return to work, Investigations, Incidents, Near Misses and Safe Systems of Work
Liaise with external contractors on site for removal of waste and recyclable product.
Shift Pattern & Salary:
Monday to Friday working pattern is required but as the rest of the site operates on a 12 hour 4 on 4 off days and nights shift structure – you will be expected to be frequently visible to all.
£28,000 per annum (possible increasing after successful completion of probationary period).
What You'll Need:
Experience working as a manager.
A forklift Counterbalance licence, would be advantageous however if not full training will be provided.
A positive can do attitude.
A WAMITAB qualification is preferred.
