Press break setter operator

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Setter/Operator to set up, adjust, and operate press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, technical knowledge, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines (e.g., CNC or manual)

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions

• Select appropriate tooling, dies, and machine settings for each job

• Perform machine adjustments to ensure accuracy and quality

• Conduct first-off inspections and in-process quality checks

• Measure finished components using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

• Ensure all work meets required tolerances and specifications

• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery

• Follow health & safety procedures at all times

• Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Press Brake Setter/Operator

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes

• Experience with CNC press brake controls (preferred)

• Good mathematical and measurement skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Understanding of workplace health and safety standards

Desirable Skills

• Experience with programming CNC press brakes

• Knowledge of different metals and material behavior

• Forklift or other relevant certifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
