This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working in a varied, hands-on advisory role, with Employee Relations experience being essential.

This is a fixed term contract until September 2027

The Role

As People & Culture Advisor, you will provide advice and support across the full employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on Employee Relations. You will work closely with managers, helping them navigate people matters confidently, fairly and in line with employment legislation and organisational policies.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advice and guidance to managers on a range of HR and employment-related matters.
  • Supporting managers through Employee Relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence and performance management.
  • Advising on capability, attendance management and family-friendly policies.
  • Supporting the implementation and review of HR policies, procedures and processes.
  • Identifying trends within people data, producing reports and providing management information.
  • Building strong relationships with managers and colleagues, delivering a responsive and customer-focused HR service.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and promoting positive employee engagement.

About You

We are looking for an approachable, proactive and experienced HR professional who is confident dealing with Employee Relations matters and supporting managers through sometimes challenging situations.

To be considered, you will need:

  • Previous experience working within an HR advisory or generalist HR role.
  • Strong Employee Relations experience, including advising managers on disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence and capability matters.
  • Confidence providing practical advice and guidance on HR policies and employment legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
  • Good attention to detail and strong administration skills.
  • Confidence working with HR data, reporting and Microsoft Office.

A CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards it) would be advantageous.

The Opportunity

You will be joining a collaborative People & Culture team where you can make a genuine contribution to the employee experience, support managers to develop their people management skills and help shape positive workplace practices.

If you are an HR professional with solid Employee Relations experience looking for your next opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
