We're on the lookout for an experienced Pay & Reward Specialist to join this expanding team for our well-established client based in Culham near Abingdon.
About the role:
As a Pay & Reward Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
Working closely with the part time Pay and Reward Specialist, supporting the organisation by providing pay, benefits and recognition advice, guidance and decisions to Line Managers, HR Business Partners and colleagues and the Recruitment and Payroll Teams
Supporting the HR Adviser to the CEO on preparing detailed cases to request additional pay flexibility for the organisations staff outside of the annual pay remit submission to BEIS/ HMT. Supporting discussions with Senior Management backed up by effective pay/ cost modelling. Obtaining supporting data from a wide range of sources/ systems. Managing the implementation of any new flexibilities including planning, communications, developing policy/ guidelines, implementation and evaluation/ review, supported by a senior HR colleague.
Identifying and developing improvements that could be made to pay and reward processes, building the case, modelling costs and identifying options for Senior Managers and Union
Supporting the other Pay and Reward Specialist with the annual pay award negotiations and the implementation of the pay award as required. Ditto support with the Gender Pay Gap and senior remuneration as needed and share external and internal pay audits and requests for information from senior management and external bodies.
Building and maintaining relationships with key internal stakeholders and building productive relationships with relevant counterparts in central government.
Do you have previous experience working in a similar role? or do you have previous experience as a Pay & Reward Specialist? To be considered for this role, you will have a relevant degree or equivalent experience and preferably working towards graduate status of CIPD or other equivalent qualification or part qualified. Have good persuasion and influencing skills, good numerical and analytical skills, advanced Excel skills and ability to merge data from different systems and the ability to present numerical data in a visual way that is easy to understand.
