The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join a busy and professional workshop team. You will play a key role in ensuring vehicles are prepared and maintained to the highest standards for customers, working closely with the Workshop Supervisor and Manager. This position is well suited to a skilled technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out general servicing and maintenance on vehicles

  • Undertaking tyre fitting and replacement on a range of vehicles

  • Completing road tests, ramp inspections, and vehicle checks as required

  • Carrying out repairs in line with approved methods to restore vehicles to manufacturer standards

  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and carrying out repairs where necessary

  • Completing warranty repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines

  • Managing time effectively to meet deadlines and maintain workshop efficiency

  • Assisting with general workshop duties when required

  • Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and all company procedures are followed

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

  • Qualified to City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) – essential

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Willingness to support junior technicians and share knowledge when required

  • A passion for the motor industry with pride in delivering high-quality work

  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions

  • Excellent attention to detail
