The Recruitment Group are looking for a Machine Operator to join our long standing client based in Skelmersdale, Lancashire.  We are looking for a Machine Operator to support the respiratory filter production in achieving business plan objectives.
 
Pay:
 
  • £14.79 per hour
 
Working Hours are:
 
  • 12 month contract possibly 24 month contract for the right person
  • 38 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday – 8 hours a day
 
Duties include:
 
  • Work is self-directed and can identify issues/problems and resolve them
  • You will have been trained in specialist skills or knowledge
  • You will operate production machines to perform operations or produce parts
  • You will set up machines, load raw material into machines, manually operate machines, and unload finished product from machine
  • Need to work from written or verbal instructions and general operating procedures, which requires the application of some judgement and selectivity
  • Operator has control over product quality.
 
Individual Responsibilities:
 
  • Health and Safety awareness will be amongst your main priorities, and Health and Safety guidelines should be actively adhered to and promoted
  • Develop and implement significant improvements in respiratory filter processes, procedures and systems.
  • Track and report business improvement results
  • Improve the overall reliability and performance of plant, personnel and production equipment and processes.
  • Analysing data to fault find and develop prioritised improvement plans for the platform.
  • Develop improved processes; fully documenting and training using our SOP’s and training processes
  • Train and mentor staff in an approachable and constructive manner
  • Maintain and develop the delivery of finished products in line with cost, quality and production schedule requirements.
 
About You:
 
  • Good mechanical aptitude and skills are required.
  • Basic data entry and computer proficiency preferred.
  • You will be under minimal supervision and may provide assistance to others.
  • Organisation and time management is crucial
  • Engineering background beneficial
