We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Linisher to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for finishing and preparing metal components using linishing and grinding equipment to achieve the required surface finish and quality standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring products are completed safely, accurately, and to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate linishing, grinding, and polishing equipment to finish metal components.
  • Remove welds, burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections.
  • Prepare components for painting, coating, assembly, or final inspection.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of linishing equipment.
  • Identify defects and report quality issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company health, safety, and environmental procedures.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or metal finishing environment preferred.
  • Experience operating linishing, grinding, or polishing equipment is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is desirable.
  • Basic understanding of quality control processes.
  • Forklift or overhead crane experience is beneficial but not essential.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to use measuring equipment and hand tools.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and time management skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and accuracy.
