An IT Administrator working within a small team to provide IT support. The role is varied and will involve the day to day support for PC and networked systems, including hardware and software for circa 500 users and growing.
High level of Confidentiality and Accuracy
Ability to liaise with personnel of all levels – good communication skills.
Ability to work on own initiative & prioritise workload, whilst working as part of a team.
Ability to work under pressure & meet tight deadlines.
Willing to work outside of normal hours to ensure minimal disruption to business
Detailed knowledge of Microsoft office, and latest Windows
PC/ printers hardware maintenance and set up of new equipment
Ability to lead the IT help desk resolving PC/ IT issues including phones/ photocopiers/ Printer/ mobile phone etc.
Ability to develop report writing tools
Responsible for the renewal of mobile phone contracts/ manage the use of all lines to maximise use/ reduce costs/ highlight issues/ ensure suitable spares available. Include management of data use/ miss use of mobiles and reporting to IT manager/ FD.
Ensure manage outstanding IT calls and we report on internal SLA / response time and ensure calls are followed up and completed using Spice Works.
Manage incoming help requests via helpdesk software system.
Prioritise calls according to severity.
Help and support with landlines/ SIP phones, and ordering replacement phones etc.
Escalate problems to appropriate areas for solution.
Perform hands-on fixes at desktop level and via remote software tools.
Install and upgrade software.
Re-build pc’s, ghost new machines.
Perform Server and data backups.
Audit of equipment & collation of information.
Maintain Disaster recovery programme, produce training guides.
Manage, monitor, purchase mobile phones.
Manage, monitor, purchase tablets for mobile engineers.
Ensure working area is kept in a neat and organised manner.
Provide full support to IT Manager.
Requirement to travel between locations.
To perform any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time within the scope of your knowledge, skills and ability
