We're on the lookout for a HR Officer to join our well-established client based in Loughborough on a full time, temporary basis until 30th September 2022.
About the role:
As a HR Officer your main responsibility is to support the HR team by taking responsibility of a range of HR processes relating to employment. Additional responsibilities include:
Administer the monthly processes for the review of fixed term contracts, honorary appointments and changes to contractual terms, including the update of the HR system and liaising with payroll as required
Administer non-academic probation processes through to completion, working with the HR Partner to present cases for extension or termination of employment to the Probation Review Group
Administer the DBS application process, ensuring the central register is maintained and up to date
Support the management of sickness absence cases with referrals to Occupational Health as requested
Take notes of disciplinary and grievance meetings on request
Provide general administrative support to senior HR colleague
Ensure staff personal files are maintained and archived in accordance with the Retention Schedule
Actively seek opportunities to increase HR skills and knowledge, including up to date knowledge of employment law
To be considered for this role, the successful candidate must have strong communication skills with good attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. They will also require experience working in HR and have excellent administrative skills.
