Freezer warehouse Operative
Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our cold storage team. Working in a freezer environment reaching -20°C, you will play a key role in the loading, unloading, and movement of stock to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
Load and unload stock from delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
Handle frozen goods in accordance with company procedures and health & safety standards.
Operate manual handling equipment (e.g. pallet trucks, pump trucks, forklifts—if trained and certified).
Check goods in and out, ensuring accuracy and quality of stock.
Move and store products within the freezer warehouse according to picking and storage requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the freezer and loading areas.
Adhere to temperature control, PPE, and safety protocols at all times.
Support stock counts and inventory checks as required.
Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily operational targets.
Skills & Requirements
Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or cold storage environment (preferred but not essential).
Ability to work in freezing temperatures (-20°C) for extended periods (appropriate PPE provided).
Good level of physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks safely.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations
