Design Engineer

Are you a detail-driven Design Engineer who enjoys seeing your concepts brought to life in a real production environment? We're working with a well-established engineering business based in Witney who are looking to add a talented 3D CAD professional to their close-knit team.

As the Design Engineer you will take ownership of designs from concept through to manufacture, working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure high-quality, practical engineering solutions.
What you'll be doing as the Design Engineer:
. Producing accurate 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks
. Designing components and assemblies for manufacture, with a strong focus on practicality and safety
. Managing drawing revisions and ensuring all documentation is up to date and compliant
. Supporting production by considering tooling, materials, and assembly methods during the design phase
. Liaising with customers and suppliers to refine specifications and resolve technical queries
. Getting involved in prototype development and new product introduction
. Contributing to continuous improvement within the design and production process

What we're looking for:
. Experience using SolidWorks (or similar 3D CAD software) in a manufacturing environment
. Strong understanding of engineering principles and ability to apply calculations to design work
. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
. Confident communicator, comfortable working cross-functionally and externally
. A proactive, hands-on mindset with a willingness to get involved on the shop floor when needed
. An interest in mechanical systems, hydraulics, or fluid power (experience is beneficial but not essential)
