We're on the lookout for a Customer Service Representative to join our well-established client based in Loughborough on a full-time, 3-6 month temporary basis. 
 
This role offers £10.10 per hour, has free car parking and there is opportunity for it to be extended further. 
 
About the role: 
 
As a Customer Service Representative, your main responsibilities will include the following:  
 
  • Provide professional and effective services to internal and / or external customers, to meet customer expectations.  
  • Work with the internal team to provide quotations for new products, co-ordinate quotation requests and direct from the customers and via the field sales team.  
  • Communicate courteously with internal and / or external customers by telephone, email and face to face, building positive relationships. 
  • Be responsible for entry of orders received, ensuring that the correct pricing and payment terms are applied. 
  • Provision of back-order reports to customers and updates on due stock dates.   
  • Monitor progress of delivery performance via KPIs and highlight problem areas for resolution. 
  • Enter customer complaints and organise returns where appropriate.  Ensure that complaints are resolved in a manner and timeframe. 
  • Answer invoicing queries and if necessary, initiate the raising and issuing of credit notes. 
  • Keep the field sales specialists fully informed of opportunities and developments that may affect customer relationships.  Continuously liaise with the Management Team to ensure the appropriate communication protocols are maintained  
  • Embrace and participate in PPI initiatives to identify improvements and cost savings to the business. 
 
 
About you: 
 
To be considered for this role, the successful candidate must have: 
 
  • Two years' experience in a similar Customer Service role. 
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in written communications.  
  • Able to formulate precise accurate responses to both internal departments and external customers. 
  • Able to consolidate complex information and formulate appropriate responses to customers. 
  • Excellent confident telephone manner 
  • Shows understanding of the operational processes regarding the production of products and their flow through the supply chain. 
  • Experience of export of goods, preferably hazardous and the documentation involved. 
  • Computer literate in Excel and Word. Able to manipulate documents and spreadsheets. Use of MRP systems an advantage 
  • Flexible working to ensure that the Customer Service function is covered during office hours.

  • Full time (36.25 hours)  
  • Rate of pay – £10.10 per hour
