Forklift Operator – Immediate Start Available
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a valued client for an experienced Forklift Operator to join a busy and fast-paced warehouse environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and safety-focused individual with proven experience in warehouse operations, forklift driving, and material handling.
Shifts are Monday to Friday 10am-7pm
Key Responsibilities
As a Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative, your duties will include:
- Operating forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading goods, including groupage consignments
- Working on standard and double deck trailers
- Scanning pallets in and out of warehouse locations
- Labelling pallets accurately for dispatch
- Supporting shipping and receiving processes, including checking manifests
- Using warehouse systems (WMS) to update stock and print labels
- Carrying out daily forklift safety checks and reporting any issues
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
✅ Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid forklift licence (essential)
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Experience loading groupage trailers (highly desirable)
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
- Ability to carry out manual handling and heavy lifting
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- Basic IT skills for scanning and system updates
- A reliable, punctual, and team-oriented approach
