We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods within a warehouse or distribution environment, ensuring that operations run smoothly and deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a counterbalance forklift to load, unload, move, and stack goods
- Transport materials safely to designated storage areas
- Perform daily equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance needs
- Assist with stock control, including picking, packing, and inventory checks
- Ensure all goods are handled carefully to prevent damage
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff and supervisors
Requirements
- Valid counterbalance forklift licence
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
Desirable Skills
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings or weekends
- Additional forklift licences (e.g., reach truck)
