Counterbalance
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for safely operating a counterbalance forklift to move, load, unload and organise stock and materials across the warehouse and yard.
The successful candidate will have good attention to detail, a strong commitment to health and safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a counterbalance forklift in accordance with site procedures and health & safety regulations.
- Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Move and position pallets, materials and stock around the warehouse and yard.
- Load materials into designated storage areas and ensure stock is stored correctly.
- Carry out daily forklift checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Assist with general warehouse duties when required.
- Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures and site safety requirements.
- Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Complete relevant paperwork and stock movement records where required.
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence/Certificate.
- Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse, yard or industrial environment.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Good communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Flexibility to work additional hours or shifts when required.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a busy warehouse, manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Experience loading and unloading HGVs.
- Experience working in an outdoor yard environment.
- Additional forklift qualifications, such as Reach or Bendi, would be advantageous.
