We’re on the lookout for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our well-established and respected client in based in Loughborough on a full-time, permanent basis.  


This role offers £30,000 per annum depending on experience

About the role:

You will be reporting to the Finance Director  

JOB PURPOSE: 
Companies accounting functions including accounting systems, credit control and payroll. Company Secretary, HR & H&S activities.  

KEY TASKS: 

  • Ensure that accurate and timely financial data is available to the management team. 

  • Costing formula, profit & loss analysis, efficiency and profit improvements.   

  • Production of Monthly Management information and reporting this information to the Management team.   

  • Management of cash flow, including payments and preparation of weekly cash flows.  

  • Overall cash management on an ongoing basis, including identifying and obtaining funding 

  • Monitor budgets, analyse and investigate any variances 

  • Liase with HMRC / Companies House where necessary. 

  • Analyse and review profitability per customer based on information from Javelin. 

  • Ad hoc projects as flexibility are essential. 

  • Liaising with customers and suppliers. 

  • Assisting the auditors on their visits  

  • Assist in Budget Preparation 

  • Assist in Setting annual cost rates and prices for customers 

  • VAT return 

  • Other financial functions as required.  

  • Company Secretary duties - Administration/Advice 

  • HR Duties - Administration/Advice 

  • H&S Duties - Administration/Advice 


COMPETENCES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Good communication skills. 

  • Trustworthy  

  • Professional financial qualifications. (AAT Qualified / CIMA part qualified) 

  • Must be accurate and have the ability to multitask. 

  • Possess good interpersonal and team skills. 

  • Good knowledge of Sage. 

  • MRP and costing knowledge. 

  • Able to handle confidential material and keep secrecy on sensitive matters. 

  • To support company managers and directors in the continued development of the business.
