We are recruiting for an Assembly Technician for one of our engineering clients based in Cowley, Oxford.
The company speciaise in flow control valves and are looking for a technician (mechanical or electrical) to join their manufacturing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly of a range of components into finished goods across one or more product lines (primarily flow control valves) ensuring required standards of quality and timeliness are met. Working to safety and quality requirements, Assembly Technicians help to achieve daily production requirements in terms of quality and quantity to meet customer expectations and requirements, optimise efficiency and maintain operational excellence. 

• Operate production line equipment such as hoists, lifts, and airlines
• Build up components and sub-assemblies into finished products
• Carry out basic testing and quality checks, ensure reporting of equipment faults
• Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and machinery
• Ensure components products are to the correct tolerances and meet customer and internal standards and specifications
• Record how much raw material has been used during production and the number of items produced

Required Skills and Experience
• 4+ GCSEs level C and above (>4) including English and Maths, NVQ Level, International Vocational Certificate (IVQ) or similar
• Good standard of written and spoken English
• Previous manufacturing experience working with electronic and mechanical assemblies
• Manual assembly including bonding and mechanical fastening
• Experience of hydraulic products is desirable
• Soldering and basic electronic assembly
