Accounts Payable Assistant

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to assist our client in Loughborough on a longterm temporary project. The Accounts Payable Assistant will play a key role in implementing the new AI-driven automation into the Accounts Payable function. The Accounts Payable Assistant will work closely with AP Controller, providing essential support thoughout the rollout and beyond.

Pay:

£12.85 PH

Hours:

Monday to Thursday 7:45 to 16:30

Friday 7:45 to 15:15

About the Role:

As the Accounts Payable Assistant, you will work closely with the AP Controller to support the rollout of AI‑enhanced invoice processing while maintaining accurate and efficient purchase ledger operations. You will be involved in both operational tasks and process‑improvement initiatives as the department evolves.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and integration of AI automation within the Accounts Payable function.
• Process purchase invoices accurately and efficiently within the purchase ledger.
• Maintain and update supplier accounts, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
• Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with month‑end closing activities and reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Full training will be provided, including support with EFACS, AI‑assisted tools, and all AP processes.
