The Recruitment Group Announces New Ownership as Growth Continues

8 branches | 10 onsite locations | Growing nationwide

The Recruitment Group has announced a new ownership structure, marking the next stage in the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Under the new structure, Paul Hipkiss, Group Managing Director, has become the majority owner of The Recruitment Group, supported by investors Mark Mitchell and Dave Hands. The transaction was successfully completed on 19th December 2025, and the business is now fully UK owned.

“This change of ownership is a positive and exciting step forward for The Recruitment Group,” said Paul Hipkiss, Group Managing Director and majority owner.

“I welcome the addition of both Mark Mitchell and Dave Hands to the board. I have great respect for both individuals, having worked closely with Mark for nearly a decade, and knowing Dave through my time with Vistage and through working with him at his business, LTS Global in Birmingham. Their experience and support will be invaluable as we continue to build the business for the long term.”

Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Castle Donington, The Recruitment Group has grown rapidly and now operates through a national network of 8 high street branches and 10 on-site client locations, with further internal recruitment planned as the business continues to expand.

The company will continue to operate under its existing name, leadership structure and operational model, ensuring full continuity of service for clients, candidates and employees.

The new ownership structure provides long-term backing to support continued investment in people, systems and service delivery, as the Group strengthens its position across the UK recruitment market.

Paul Hipkiss also commented:

“I would like to thank Chris Smith at HSBC for his support on the finance side of the transaction, and Freya Summers and Emily McFadyen at Weightmans Solicitors for their assistance with the legal aspects. Their professionalism and guidance were instrumental in completing the deal.”

Looking ahead, the focus remains on sustainable growth, innovation and strengthening The Recruitment Group’s service proposition across the sectors it supports, including industrial, commercial, engineering, logistics and professional services.

“As we embark on this next chapter, our priority remains clear,” added Paul Hipkiss. “We will continue to build on our values, enhance our service offering and ensure that The Recruitment Group remains a trusted partner for businesses and jobseekers alike.”
