Paul Hipkiss & Karinna Shields Raise £3,000 for Make-A-Wish UK at Birmingham Half Marathon
Months of Training Lead to Incredible Fundraising Achievement
After months of training, dedication, and determination, Paul Hipkiss and Karinna Shields successfully completed the Birmingham Half Marathon and raised an incredible £3,000 for Make-A-Wish UK.
The pair took on the challenge to support the life-changing work carried out by Make-A-Wish UK, a charity that grants wishes for children living with critical illnesses.
From early morning training runs to pushing through difficult miles on race day, the support from friends, family, colleagues, and the wider community helped make the achievement possible.
Supporting Make-A-Wish UK
Make-A-Wish UK helps create unforgettable experiences for children and young people facing serious illness across the UK. The charity relies heavily on fundraising and community support to continue granting wishes and supporting families during incredibly difficult times.
Every donation made throughout Paul and Karinna’s fundraising campaign will help Make-A-Wish continue delivering moments of hope, joy, and strength to children who need it most.
A Huge Thank You to Everyone Who Supported the Journey
Paul and Karinna would like to thank everyone who donated, shared the fundraiser, offered encouragement during training, or cheered on race day.
“The training was tough at times, but knowing we were raising money for such an important cause kept us motivated. We’re incredibly proud to have raised £3,000 for Make-A-Wish and grateful for all the support we received.”
Birmingham Half Marathon Success
Completing the Birmingham Half Marathon was a huge personal achievement, but raising £3,000 for charity made the experience even more meaningful.
The fundraising total reflects the generosity of the local community and everyone who got behind the challenge from start to finish.
