​We are looking for Warehouse Picker to join afriendly team in ECO Pak based in Chatteris!

Working hours: 8am – until finish (between 16:00- 18:00)
Working days: 5 days out of 7 (including weekend cover)
Pay rate: £10.50/h - £11/h

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train, warehouse staff as directed by the senior team;

  • Able to run in intake and dispatch on either site;

  • Make sure all communication (Emails, conversations, letters etc) internally and externally is portrayed professionally, timely and constructively;

  • Produce packaging, intake, stock management and counting internally and externally where required;

  • Work with the Packaging & Consumables Co-ordinator as and when required;

  • Be part of the team that liaises with ‘Quality Assurance’ and ‘Site Technical’ management and ensures the ‘Work

  • Instructions’ relating to production, print room and packaging are being adhered to and followed by all relevant personnel;

  • Warehouse standards are to be maintained to the level required by the cleaning work instructions and maintained where possible at all times;

  • All paperwork involved must be legible, managed with a high degree of accuracy throughout, whilst maintaining traceability at all times.

  • Assist in customer and other 3rd party audits e.g. ETI, BRC, Soil Association ;

  • Assist others to supply sites where required to achieve necessary standards;

  • To support the Warehouse Supervisor / Manager, where required;

  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working in a comparable role, preferably within the produce industry

  • Appreciation of business needs and resourcefulness in coming up with solutions to their challenges

  • Reasonable written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a wide range of employees;

  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a professional approach to the staff at all times;

  • Ability to work as part of a team with colleagues across professional, operational and cultural boundaries

  • Proactive approach and prompt responses to all service requests. Motivated and seen as a problem solver.

  • Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to handle a number of tasks at once and meet deadlines as required

  • Good organisational skills, coupled with own transport and valid driving licence.

  • Reasonable IT skills including experience of Word and Excel

  • Desirable would be to have a valid Counterbalance FLT and an Electric Pedestrian Barrow licence.

  • Previous experience in warehouse positions is essential.
