Job Title - Trainee Engineer
Location – Peterborough (PE4)
Salary – Up to £27,000 per annum depending on prior experience
Working Pattern – Monday to Friday (Days)

The Company
Our client is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of special purpose manufacturing equipment for the Food & Beverage, Plastics and FMCG sectors. All of their machines are bespoke designs based on the specific requirements of their customer and range in size and complexity from a single standalone machine right up to a fully automated production facility.
The business have enjoyed long running steady growth over the last ten years and have continued to expand their manufacturing operations in the UK to meet growing demand. This not only includes manufacturing capacity, but also Engineering and Production staff, and as such they are now looking to recruit their next generation of new Engineers, with the addition of six brand new Trainee Positions.

The Role
The Trainee Engineers will be given full extensive training in the operation of Milling machines for the manufacture of specialist components. This includes:
  • The operation of both manual and CNC Milling Machines
  • Parts inspection
  • The ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Operation of Siemens and Fanuc operating systems
  • Safe Operation of machines and working safely in a manufacturing environment
Ideally the business is looking for a Candidate who has already completed an Engineering Apprenticeship and who is looking for their next step in their career in Engineering, however they are also keen to speak to candidates who have been working within a manufacturing environment looking to move into Engineering.

The Candidate
The business is looking for candidates with the following backgrounds or experience:
  • A recognised Apprenticeship or Engineering Qualification
  • Experience working within an Engineering / Manufacturing Environment
  • Must be willing to learn
  • Good Communication Skills
  • IT Literate
