We're looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator on a 6 month fixed term contract to join our growing team
Shift pattern: 4 shifts on, 4 off 6am - 6pm
Your role will help shape our multi-site operation, you'll have a direct impact on the production facility by planning the movement of stock around the company network to ensure each facility has the correct materials to maximise production capacity. The goal of our department is to provide best-in-class service by having the correct materials at the correct location at the correct time, ensuring all customer orders are OTIF (On Time In Full). This is a role where you will make a tangible difference, working alongside our experienced Logistics team and Supply Chain team to deliver the best possible customer experience
Location - we offer flexible working, so whilst you may be required to visit our Spalding site at times, we are happy to consider applications from people looking for a hybrid/home working position.
What you’ll do
Monitor and manage day to day multi-site transfers and collections
Ensure a smooth booking process for all required transport whilst highlighting and actively seeking opportunities to reduce costs
Troubleshooting supply chain and logistics issues, which could have an operational impact. Escalating to the appropriate team as required
Raising Purchase Orders and dealing with any associated payment and invoice queries
Regular contact both by phone and face to face with logistics partners
Own the transfer tool and be the responsible person for raising transfer orders to ensure the right material is at the right site at the right time
Liaise with the planning department to raise any potential material shortages
Be a multi-skilled team member to provide holiday support to other members of the team as required
Actively seek ways to improve supply chain and logistics processes to improve efficiency, remove waste and deliver potential cost improvements
Skills/Qualifications required
Experience working in an operational environment; Supply chain and/or Logistics experience beneficial.
Strong Excel skills
A strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Strong and clear communication skills
Natural problem-solving skills (and a desire to identify the problems before they happen)
An interest in the food industry – particularly distribution
Experience in dealing with 3PLs
A strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
