Role: Quality Inspector Field: Manufacturing Engineering/ NPI/ Electro-Mechanical/Rapid Prototype Engineering/Quality Control, QC, Quality Inspection, CMM inspection

Reporting to: Quality Engineer

Salary: £26,000

About the Role

An innovative market leader in the design and development of highly engineered and customised systems are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to support their future growth. This dynamic company contracts the manufacture of their components worldwide and performs quality control, warehousing, assembly, and dispatch on-site in Oxfordshire.   • Responsible for supporting the Quality Engineer in the day to day running of the quality department, to ensure an ongoing high level of quality of products being sold by the company.

  • Carrying out QC inspection of inbound stock using state of the art digital optical inspection equipment, associated CMM measuring and other specialised metrology equipment

  • Carry out New Sample Approval inspection of parts from a new supplier and prototype parts to drawing and purchase order requirements

  • Raising non-conformance reports with manufacturers to rectify any issues •Inspection of assemblies and kits produced in-house before they are sent out to customers

  • Generating and continuously improving QC documentation and processes, with the support and guidance from the QC Engineer

  • Maintain inspection records of all parts which are identified for inspection

About You

As ideal the ideal candidate you will have:

  • Experience within a Quality Control Environment

  • Previous experience of using conventional measuring equipment, i.e. digital optical inspection equipment, CMM measuring equipment •Understanding of basic engineering drawings
