​An innovative market leader in the design and development of highly engineered and customised systems are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to support their future growth.

This dynamic company contracts the manufacture of their components worldwide and performs quality control, warehousing, assembly, and dispatch on-site in Oxfordshire. The company has been a huge success from day one and is estimated to increase its growth by 4 times within the next 5 years.

The Role:

Responsible for the day to day running of the quality department, to ensure ongoing high levels of quality products being sold.


  • Carrying out day to day running of the QC department, including allocating inspection work to QC Technicians, ensuring the priority of inspection duties for production, Engineering, and the Sales departments

  • Support the QC inspection function with the QC Technician’s as required. Ensure parts are inspected to drawing, specification, visual standards by using the departments conventional measuring/test equipment and programmable (Keyence) optical inspection equipment

  • Raise any non-conformance documentation as required; NCRs, SCARs, CAPA(8Ds)

  • Log and maintain all associated records from the Non-Conformance reporting

  • Compile a monthly Non-Conformance report for the Quality Manager

  • Communicate with all suppliers on their non-conformance issues, follow up to closure status as required. This Includes; checking of supplier corrective actions, replacements and credit received

  • Attend supplier support meetings for key suppliers, re-inspection of replacement parts

  • Support Engineering and Purchasing on the New Sample Parts inspection procedure. This includes the first off inspection of new parts or a change of supplier of existing parts

  • Review and maintain Corrective and Preventive(8D) documentation status, progress as required and report to the Quality Manager on weekly basis. This Includes using Root Cause analysis tools such as 5 why and Fish Bone diagrams

  • Carry out internal audits as detailed on the Internal Audit Schedule managed by the Quality Manager

  • Maintain the Calibration system for all QC and Production measuring equipment

Skills and requirements:

  • Proven industry background within a manufacturing/production setting

  • Strong knowledge of quality management tools for process improvements

  • Working to industry standards i.e. ISO9001 2015

  • Proven background as a Quality Engineer or an aspiring Quality Inspector looking for the next step in your career

  • Good IT skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, customers as well as suppliers
