We're on the lookout for a Purchasing Assistant to join our well-established client based in Banbury on a full-time permanent basis.

The Details:

Normal hours of work are 08:00 – 17:00 with a break of 30 minutes.

The location of work is in Banbury, In view of the current circumstances, home working will be supported if necessary (COVID 19)

Salary in the region of £24,000 to £34,000 depending on experience.

About the role:

The Purchasing Assistant role reports to the Head of Operations and Supply Chain and is primarily responsible for managing inbound stock requirements from order placement to receipt, and the management of all potential issues and queries in the process.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaison with suppliers.

  • Monitor stock levels and sales orders to identify purchasing needs and process purchase orders.

  • Placement of orders with suppliers for timely management of required stock.

  • Track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.

  • Liaise with Customer Care department regarding product delays or potential issues with supply.

  • Liaise with and support the Customer Care and Sales Teams for sourcing of products required to fulfil Customer requirements if needed.

  • Support in the management of supplier relationships.

  • Support in actions required to manage costs (product costs, operations costs, delivery costs, etc.)

  • Liaise with Head of Operations and Supply Chain for management of supplier or product issues.

  • Maintain all systems with supplier records and pricing.

  • Liaise with Operations regarding product quality, management of required stock levels and availability, and oversee the supplier returns process.

  • Support the Operations team with general admin duties when required.

About You:

Do you hold excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal?

Do you have high levels of resilience – proven ability to work under pressure?

Have you got the ability to build effective and beneficial relationships with internal and external parties?
