​An innovative market leader in the design and development of highly engineered and customised systems are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to support their future growth.

This dynamic company contracts the manufacture of their components worldwide and performs quality control, warehousing, assembly, and dispatch on-site in Oxfordshire. The company has been a huge success from day one and is estimated to increase its growth by 4 times within the next 5 years.

The Role:

As the Procurement Manager, you will oversee all aspects of procurement within the business including purchasing of all products & components, plant equipment as well as all sundries.


  • Create and robust procurement strategies to reduce stock levels, risk management of suppliers, reduction of stock levels, reduce lead times and increase capacity utilisation

  • Manage suppliers & SLA agreements to ensure B2C and B2B demands are being met

  • Work closely with engineering departments to support the companies R&D process

  • Monitor and review movement of commodity costs which may include shipping and raw materials

  • Devise cost down strategies

  • Stock forecasting, utilising ERP system

  • Researching new suppliers, alternative suppliers as well as manage relationships with existing suppliers/OEM’s

  • Review tenders and carry out negotiations as required

  • Suggest improvements and solutions to continue the development and efficiency of the organisation's procurement process

Skills and requirements:

  • Ideally,CIPS/MCIPS qualified but not essential

  • Proven track record of negotiating contracts

  • Experience stock-management for products that are both supplied from stock and bespoke products that are made to order

  • Ideally, you will have experience within a fast pace R&D or product development environment
