PCB Assembly Operative
Salary: circa £10.00 - £11.50 per hour
We’re looking for an experienced and competent electronics operative to assemble printed circuit boards (through-hole, surface mount and re-work) within a electronics assembly workshop.
The successful candidate will be required to work
8:00am – 5:30pm Monday- Thursday
8:00am – 1:00pm on a Friday.
•Reporting to the Manufacturing & Production Manager.
•The PCB Assembly Operative will predominantly specialise in the assembly of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).
•Assembling the constituent parts of products from PCB level, through sub-assembly to finished units, following engineering drawings
•Ensuring that work is carried out safely, complying with health and safety and other relevant regulations and guidelines.
Experience and knowledge with
•Proven experience in a manufacturing assembly role, with experience of soldering, crimping and surface mount.
•Good manual dexterity.
•High level of attention to detail.
•Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
•Personal drive and enthusiasm.
Education to NVQ Level 3 in Electronics or equivalent preferred and/or an IPC 3 J Standard qualifications.
This will be a permanent position after a short trial period.
