Role – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location – Oxford
Salary - £28,000 per year (13 weeks Temp to Permanent)
Hours – Monday to Friday Days (37.5 hours a week)
Benefits – 25 Days of Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays, Pension, Annual 5% Bonus

The Business
Our client are on the UKs leading manufacturers of specialist chemicals for a variety of industries including Automotive, Agrochemicals, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, FMCG, and the Water Industry. The business are going through a rapid period of growth and are already running 50% ahead of their revenue target YTD and plan to double turnover over the next two years.
As part of this growth the business are heavily investing in new and upgraded manufacturing equipment, plus expanding their Engineering and Process Teams to meet machine demand. As such they now require an additional Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their Oxford Engineering Team.

The Role
The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for all Mechanical Maintenance Tasks on Plant Equipment. Currently Maintenance is focused more towards Planned Preventative work rather than reactive breakdown work thanks to their CMS.
Plant equipment includes Tanks and Vessels, Pumps, Pipework, Vacuum Transfer Systems, Compressors, Boilers and Chillers. As much as the role is mainly Mechanical in nature, some basic electrical knowledge and experience will be beneficial as the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be required to change sensors and switches like for like, and do cabinet and panel resets occasionally.

The Candidate
The Business is looking for a candidate with the following:

  • Recognised Mechanical Engineering Qualification

  • Experience performing Maintenance on Manufacturing Plant

  • Welding experience would be beneficial.
