Machine Operative

We are looking for Machine Operators to work for our Client based in Hamilton, Leicester. They are a multinational company with sites in Leicester and Rothley and are passionate about the future of our planet. The role of the Machine Operator is a temp to perm role. Pay for the Machine Operator – temp to perm

• £11.59 per hour with a shift allowance once training is completed of £14.49 per hour

Hours / Shifts:

• 4 on 4 off consisting of 2 days and 2 nights then 4 days off
• 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am
• While you are being trained you will be on days – 9am to 5.30pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain the continuous running of the Packaging Machines
• Facilitate product changeovers including the loading of polyethylene reels
• Responsible for the effective running of the log saw as and when required
• Interact with the Machine to solve minor issues/breakdowns leading to the enhanced productivity of the machines
• Carry out quality checks on productions when required and report any faults to the respective person
• Carry out small maintenance activities and adjustments
• Support the colleagues in case of need and overview the end-line process when required
• Be accountable for high levels of housekeeping in the working area throughout the shift
• Ensure health & safety rules are adhered to

Additional Requirements:

• Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment is highly desirable
• Experience working as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
