A unique opportunity exists for a highly-motivated operations professional, with a passion and interest in the environment we inhabit. To help build on what has already been achieved by this world-leading organisation and to enable continued, and structured growth, an experienced Head of Operations is required to join a small but highly skilled team.

About the Role:

You will be joining a data-led, science-based organisation specialising in measuring natural capital assets across the globe, playing an important role in today’s Energy Transition.

Using leading modelling and data techniques, corporates and landowners are enabled to map the natural capital provided by their landholding. These include assets important for carbon storage, carbon sequestration, soil erosion protection, flood risk management, biodiversity, water quality and recreation. In addition to having proven senior management experience, the ideal candidate will be flexible, highly motivated and have an entrepreneurial mindset.

You will have first-class organisational, communication, and leadership skills and will enjoy developing innovative solutions. The company is rapidly growing and are offering an exciting and dynamic working environment with a competitive package.

Objectives of this Role

  • Collaborate with executive management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans

  • Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and cross-department collaboration

  • Work with executive management in the development of financial plans

  • Analyse current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement

  • Manage processes with external HR, legal and finance contacts Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Prior experience in an operations role within technology, science or academia

  • Proven leadership skills and ability to independently manage and deliver projects

  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes

  • Experience with budget and business plan development

  • A passion for the environment and the drive to provide real solutions
