Purpose of the Head of Compliance and Risk role:

As the Head of Compliance & Risks, you will be responsible for ensuring everything our client builds, and services offer to clients are compliant with all regulations and obligations faced by our clients.
This role will assess and mitigate risks of regulations and obligations, and manage their changes, to provide advice to clients and other stakeholders, and to inform plans of delivery of services.

Main duties and responsibilities of the Head of Compliance and Risk role:

. Adhere to regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with relevant energy regulations.
. Stay updated with new and changing regulations, evaluating their impact on the business.
. Monitor and implement compliance programs to developments of services offered ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
. Conduct internal audits to assess compliance and identify areas of potential risk for continuous improvement strategy.
. Participate with key stakeholders as part of regulatory audits or continuous improvement measures, to provide advice, recommendations and to responds to inquiries when appropriate.
. Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with various regulatory and obligatory requirements.
. Prepare regulatory reports and filings as required.
. Share best practises and knowledge with employees and clients on regulatory requirements and implications.
. Maintain records and documentation required by regulatory agencies for the business or on behalf of clients when required.

Experience/knowledge requirements for the Head of Compliance and Risk

. Previous experience in a compliance position, within the energy or utility sector is essential.
. In-depth knowledge of energy regulations and compliance requirements.
. Excellent analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
. Demonstrated project management and self-directed work capabilities.
. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
