Role – Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location – Rotherham
Package - £38,000 plus Overtime, Pension and Benefits
Shifts – 4 on 2 off, 4 on 2 off, 4 on 6 off (Days / Nights)

The Business
Our Client is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and re-processors of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. With sites across the UK and the World, their Rotherham site specialises in the recycling of scrap steel. The site is home to two 170 ton Arc Furnaces, three Ingot furnaces, plus a continuous feed furnace. The site can process the steel into various grades for resale up to Aero grade.
The business have a well established Engineering Team made up of separate Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and the business are looking to recruit additional Electrical Engineers to provide more cover across their shift patterns.

The Role
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for attending any Electrical Breakdowns that occur on the plant. The site is fully automated with predominantly Allen Bradley PLCs, with a few Gem 80’s however these are currently being replaced and upgraded.
The role is 80% reactive in nature and the Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be required to work on motors, drives, inventors, contractors, relays, fuses, trips, AC and DC motors. The vast majority of the systems are 415v, however they also have 1200 HV systems which the business will send any new engineers on a training course to allow them to safely work on those systems.

The Candidate
The business is looking for Candidates with the following:

  • Recognised Level 3 Electrical Qualification or Equivalent (City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC, HND, ONC)

  • Experience maintaining automated manufacturing equipment
