£30,000 - £35,000 – dependant on experience
Overtime: Lots of overtime is available and is paid at time and 1/3 of standard pay

About the Role:
A prestigious and service orientated Machine Shop specialist are looking to appoint a CNC Miller – Setter/Operator to supply into industry-leading organisations. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting and operating 3/4 axis CNC Milling machines with Heidenhain controls. You will be working from engineering drawings and producing batch production as well as one-offs.
Our client will provide extensive training for those with limited experience in programming, however, we are looking for a skilled machinist who would be capable to hit the ground running.
Set, and operate CNC Milling machines
Machine components from raw materials (metals) from engineering drawings
Utilise relevant measuring equipment by the company’s quality management and health and safety procedures
Involved in programming once trained up or to undertake this if you currently have the relevant experience
As the ideal CNC Miller, you will have the following experience:
Craft apprentice scheme/mechanical qualifications or relevant industry experience
Experience within a precision engineering environment and working to tight tolerances
An understanding of CAD systems/drawing packages
Working with a range of different metals i.e. aluminium, steel, etc
Previous experience of using 3/4/5 axis CNC Milling machines with various controls i.e. Haas, Fanuc, Mazatrol, Heidenhain
