Salary: £12.67ph - £15.88ph (£28,000pa - £35,000pa D.O.E)
Hours of Work: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday
Location: Witton, Birmingham (B6)
- Extensive research to source parts and components from vendors
- Negotiating with suppliers on purchasing parts and components
- Evaluating quality of goods
- Raise, check, and sign off purchase orders and good receipts
- Inputting and updating electronic records
- Communicate with other departments on supply delays
- Preparation and updating of department spreadsheets
- Keeping track of orders and chasing up back orders (verbal and electronically) ensuring products are delivered and purchasing order amendments
- Liaising with suppliers on pricing and ETAs with deliveries
- High volume of data entry (includes stock control and admins duties)
- Maintaining price lists/files
- Troubleshoot delays and errors by suppliers and co-ordinate communication with other departments as needed
- Previous experience within a buying/purchasing role
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent Excel proficiency
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated individual with an excellent work ethic
- Exceptional organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
- Proficiency with computer software
