We’re on the lookout for a Business Development Manager to join our well-established and respected client in based in Castle Donington on a full-time, permanent basis.  
  
  
This role offers between £35,000 & £40,000 per annum depending on experience 
  
About the role:  
 
A family-owned business, based in Castle Donington. Who design and make a range of daily living aids, aimed at helping elderly and disabled people to live with independence, dignity and safety. Their products provide small adaptations to the home which can prevent or delay the need for hospital admissions, help to get people back into their homes sooner, and promote independent living. 

Many of the products are made at their manufacturing site in Castle Donington, where they have both precision wood working and plastic rotational moulding capability. They supply products through a wide range of channels, including into social care, to healthcare distributors, and to online and traditional retail groups. As well as the UK we have a presence across Europe and the Pacific Rim, and they are working hard to increase their export presence. 
 Key responsibilities: 
  
  • Develop strong, long-lasting relationships with customers – by understanding their needs and requirements, providing excellent customer service and support, and providing expert product knowledge 
  • Manage and develop key customer accounts 
  • Identifying and pursue opportunities for new business 
  • Sales analysis – understanding of our market sectors, identify gaps, market trends and industry changes 
  • Participate in sales forecasting and pricing analysis.  
  • Monitor sales performance against KPIs and take action to ensure KPIs and sales targets are met 
  • Provide training and expertise on our product range 
  • Support new product development 
  • Plan and attend trade exhibitions 
Requirements: 
  • Experienced sales professional 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build strong commercial relationships 
  • High degree of IT literacy 
  • Strong analytical skills  
  • Commercial acumen 
  • Demonstrated ability to create and achieve sales plans 
  • Customer service experience beneficial 
  • Full UK driving licence
