Business Development Consultant – Recruitment

£20,000 - £26,000

We are looking to hire an ambitious and enthusiastic Business Development Consultant to support our growth plans for our industrial clientele, by forging strong relationships and boosting financial growth.

You will be representing our company and selling on behalf of our area-specific branch in Birmingham,  that are looking to increase sales within the industrial sector.

This is a full time, permanent position that may require some travelling.

Responsibilities

As the Business Development Consultant, you will report directly to the Industrial Branch Manager on a daily basis. The overall goal of the Business Development Consultant will be to seek out new business opportunities, introduce our company and explain in detail our bespoke recruitment services, discuss the client’s needs, and ensure the customer is confident that we will deliver.

You will be expected to follow up on leads passed over to you from Internal employees, as well as researching and contacting businesses that you have identified as prospective customers.

Other duties will include:

  • Develop a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction.

  • Arrange business meetings with prospect clients.

  • Research and identify new markets and customer needs.

  • Promote the company’s services, ensuring you predict/address client objectives.

  • Prepare sales contracts and ensure a log of these are updated on the CRM system.

  • Agreeing to financial targets and exceeding these

  • Using social media to research decision-makers and look to contacting these via phone, email, or direct messaging.

  • Contacting lapsed clients and re-introducing our services.

  • Producing regular forecasting reports

Who are you?

This role would suit someone with previous B2B sales experience, ideally from a recruitment background that is money motivated and has the drive to succeed.

  • Strong negotiating and problem solving

  • Able to prioritise and organise

  • Resilient nature and able to meet strict deadlines

  • Works well under pressure

  • Willing to work towards and exceed KPI targets
