Who you are:
We’re looking for driven and positively minded consultants, ideally with previous recruitment or B2B sales experience. As a Business DevelopmentConsultant, you’ll be responsible for selling our business to potential clients, so you’ll need excellent communication and relationship-building skills, as well as embodying our values of being driven, accountable, genuine, caring, and credible. We’re looking for people who embrace new challenges, and love smashing targets. Organisational and IT skills are essential, and local knowledge is also a bonus!
Our Business Development Consultants act as the driving sales force in our business. Your main responsibilities will be to seek out new business opportunities, securing face to face time with decision-makers at prospective clients, and selling our bespoke recruitment service. You’ll be expected to follow up on leads from internal team members, as well as generating your own, and keeping our Industrial Operations Director up to date through daily catchups. This is a people-focused role, and most of your time will be spent engaging with clients and candidates, nurturing existing relationships and working hard to build strong new ones.
Other responsibilities include:
Develop a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
Research and identify new markets and customer needs.
Promote the company’s services, ensuring you predict/address client objectives.
Prepare sales contracts and ensure a log of these are updated on the CRM system.
Agreeing to financial targets and exceeding these
Using social media to research decision-makers and look to contacting these via phone, email, or direct messaging.
Contacting lapsed clients and re-introducing our services.
Producing regular forecasting reports
