Gender equality is something we hugely believe in at The Recruitment Group; being #poweredbypeople and having a people-first approach to what we do is always at the forefront of our brand. Setting the expectations high for everyone and creating a workplace that values all of its employees. Not just our teams, but also our candidates and clients.
To help raise awareness for IWD, three of the most influential women in The Recruitment Group stepped forward to have a chat with our Marketing Coordinator, Tasha, about International Women's Day. Talking about what it means to them, and offer their advice for young women that are starting in their careers.
Speaking to Leah Midgely (Sales Director), Kerri Lunnon (Operations Director) and Stacy Bone (HR Business Partner). We asked; "How did you get to this point in your career?"
Leah; "I fell into recruitment about 20 years ago now, starting out as a Recruitment Consultant, progressing my way to Branch Manager, to Regional Manager up to my current role as Sales Director"
Stacey; "I initially joined The Recruitment Group by following two directors from a previous company, I built my way up from Trainee Consultant to Branch Manager and then to my current role in HR".
Kerri; " I also started in a Trainee position and very quickly worked my way up to Senior Consultant and now to my role as Operations Director".
As three of the most influential women in our business, all were drawn to the values, growth and people in The Recruitment Group. Wanting to help change the face of recruitment by putting people first.

A word from our Managing Directors and what International Women's day means to them;
Our directors Paul Hipkiss and Mark Taylor (FMCG Services) share their thoughts on what it's like working with The Recruitment Group:
"We invest heavily in our teams, and across our branch network and Senior Leadership teams, women make up 80% of our business as a whole, and their achievements make us proud every day.
We fully believe in a gender-equal world that removes stereotypes and bias, and are fully committed to making a difference, now and in the future".
Mark Taylor (FMCG Services):
"On International Women’s Day, I want to pay tribute to the wonderful women at The Recruitment Group, to the wider Recruitment industry, and beyond for their outstanding contributions to our workplace.
I believe that we live in a country that is seeing progress in terms of gender parity in the workplace, but I am aware that there is a lack of this in other countries. We are proud of our diverse culture and the women that make our business what it is today.
Here at The Recruitment Group, we support the pledge for parity through equal pay for men and women and are proud to deliver on this pledge. We are proud to have a workforce that has equally represented women at all levels of our business".
